When is the EMIS NUG Annual Conference 2023 taking place?

The EMIS National User Group Conference is taking place on the 14 – 15 September with a networking social at the London Canal Museum on 13 September and the Gala Dinner on 14 September.

Where is the EMIS NUG Annual Conference 2023 taking place?

The networking social on 13 September will be held at the London Canal Museum, 12/13 New Wharf Rd, London N1 9RT. This is a ticketed event.

The conference and gala dinner will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 782 High Rd, London N17 0BX. The Gala Dinner is a ticketed event.

What are the event timings?

Registration will open at 08:00 on both Thursday 14 and Friday 15 September. Please collect your delegate badge from the registration desk before enjoying the exhibition and sessions.

Sessions will begin on at 09:15 on both days.

The AGM for Members will take place at 16:50 on Thursday 14 September.

Sessions are anticipated to conclude at 17:05 on day one and 15:35 on day two.

A social event including drinks and a light buffet is taking place at 19:00 on Wednesday 13 September at London Canal Museum.

A Gala Dinner is taking place at Tottenham Stadium on the evening of day one, with drinks from 18:30 and the seating beginning at 19:30.

Can I attend the Annual General Meeting?

Member practices are invited to send a representative to the AGM on Thursday 14 September at 16.50-17.20 in Residency 3.

Where can I view the agenda?

The agenda is available on the conference website. Click each day to view the relevant sessions. If you create an account on the conference website, you will be able to bookmark sessions and create a personal agenda. This is useful as we have four streams running simultaneously. You are welcome to switch streams throughout the day. To limit disruption, we recommend switching streams during refreshment breaks or lunch breaks.

How do I catch up on the sessions I missed?

The audio for all sessions is being recording and edited over the slide decks post conference. These recordings will be made available on the EMIS NUG website.

Can I get a CPD certificate for my attendance?

A CPD certificate for your attendance at the Conference will be provided.

Is Tottenham Stadium Easily Accessible?

The stadium is fully accessible with lifts to all floors.

Upon registering, delegates are asked to provide information on any accessibility needs. Please do so to ensure all needs can be reasonably met.

Will refreshments and lunch be provided?

Yes. The conference fees include refreshments, lunch and afternoon tea on both days. If you have any dietary requirements that were not stated when booking, please contact emisnug@outsourcedevents.com one week prior to the event as we may not be able to accommodate your needs without advance notice.

Will there be any social networking events at the EMIS NUG Annual Conference 2023?

A networking social will take place on Wednesday 13 September at the London Canal Museum, 12/13 New Wharf Rd, London N1 9RT. You will be able to enjoy a light buffet, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and live music.

The Gala Dinner will take place on Thursday 14 September at the Tottenham Stadium. The evening will begin with a drinks reception, followed by a three course meal and finishing with a live band and dancing. It's a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues, and relax after a full day of sessions. The dress code is smart casual. Tickets for both the gala dinner and the networking social are available to purchase on the conference website.

Will there be a photographer present at the conference?

A professional photographer will be present on Thursday 14 September, and EMIS NUG may use these images in educational, promotional, and corporate publications on its website. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the events team or let the photographer know directly. We respectfully ask that delegates do not take personal videos of the presentations.

Is there a cloakroom?

There will be a space to leave coats and suitcases which is right next to the security and registration desks.

Yes - Our sponsors and exhibitors will have stands in East Quarter 2 on the second floor, together with the EMIS NUG and EduNUG stands. You can visit during registration, coffee breaks and lunch on both days and during.

How can I book my accommodation and is it included in the ticket price?

This year, delegates are expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. We have suggested hotels below to suit a range of budgets in the Kings Cross/Euston Area with a short walk to a Tube station.

Alternatively, you may wish to find your own accommodation amongst the plethora of hotels in the venue locale or Kings Cross area. Visit London has suggestions, or you could contact the hotels directly.

Will I have access to the presentations post-event?

Yes, the audio and slides will be available on the EMIS NUG website post-event.

What COVID guidelines will be in place?

Although masks are not compulsory, some attendees may wear a mask whenever and wherever they wish to do so if they feel that it enhances their levels of comfort. Hand sanitising stations will be available throughout the event.
